Your heating and cooling equipment works hard through Minnesota’s changing seasons. Regular maintenance helps identify developing problems and keeps you informed about your equipment’s condition.

The Superior Comfort Club simplifies scheduling and helps you plan ahead for your home’s maintenance needs.

Maintenance for Your Home’s Equipment

Your maintenance plan can address the equipment installed in your home. Available options include:

• Furnaces and air conditioners • Garage heaters and boilers
• Water heaters and water softeners • Humidifiers and air exchangers

Ask our team about furnace filters, humidifier panels, and Breathe Clean replacement bulbs when discussing your plan.

We’ll review your equipment and explain which services your membership includes.

What Does a Maintenance Visit Include?

Maintenance tasks depend on your equipment and the services selected for your plan.

Furnace Maintenance

Our furnace checklist includes inspecting the heat exchanger, checking wiring and connections, and testing thermostat operation. We also check the blower assembly, clean the burners, inspect the ignition system, and clean and check the flame sensor.

Additional checks include the filter, temperature rise, condensate trap, and fan motor. Parts receive lubrication as needed.

Air Conditioner Maintenance

Our air conditioner checklist includes cleaning the condenser, checking temperature drop, and testing thermostat operation. We also inspect wiring, check the contactor and capacitor, clean the condensate drain line, and inspect for leaks.

The technician checks the filter, measures voltage and amp draw, and runs the equipment through a cycle.

Water Heater & Softener Maintenance

Water heater maintenance includes checking gas valve safety, temperature controls, the burner assembly, and the pilot light, where applicable.

Water softener maintenance includes testing water hardness, checking salt levels and brine draw, and reviewing settings and the safety float. We also run the softener through a cycle.
